IPC is a designer and manufacturer of lightning protection equipment. IPC is able to design a lightning protection system for your home, provided we receive enough information. The best option is for IPC to have a full set of blueprints. Our engineering staff will review the blueprints necessary for the system design. Upon completion, the entire set of blueprints will be returned to you.

If a set of blueprints is not available, IPC requires sketches, drawings, photos that provides a detailed description of your house. Besides the basic overall dimensions, we require dimensions and elevations for most areas of the home. Some examples: Dimension from grade to bottom of eve, dimension from eve to ridgeline, dimension from ridge to end of dormer, attic and vent locations, roof pitches, etc. The information indicated in the Design Criteria Section below will help illustrate the type of information we require.

Upon completion of the design, a bill of material is developed and will be supplied to the IPC dealer/contractor that is nearest to your location. Upon review and finalization, they will proceed with providing a proposal for a complete system installation. Another option is for you to work directly with our dealer/contractor. In most cases, our dealers will visit your home and provide an on-site survey of your home or other structure and then prepare a proposal. Surveys are normally provided without charge. Please feel free to call IPC and ask us for the IPC
dealer/contractor that services your area.

Design Criteria:

1) Elevation (north, south, east, west) blueprints, drawings or photos with dimensions

2) Roof plan blueprints or drawings with dimensions

3) Stage of construction:

__ Finished
__ Initial Stages of Construction
__ Partially Constructed (explain construction progress, i.e. still open inside, dry wall or sheet rock installed or outside still unfinished.

4) Copper or Aluminum System?

A) Exterior Material

1) Siding -- Aluminum, Vinyl, Brick, Stucco, etc.
2) Shingles -- Asphalt, Cedar Shake, Tile, Slate, etc.
3) Soffitt and Fascia -- Aluminum, Vinyl, etc.     

5) Type of Chimneys or Flues with dimensions. If masonry, state construction progress.

6) Indicate on Drawing or Blueprint

A) Well location or water pipe entrance with pipe diameter (metal or PVC)

B) Electrical Entrance

1) Electrical Specs. (voltage, amperage, number of phase)

C) Telephone Entrance Location

D) Diameter and Entrance of Natural Gas Pipe
